Hummel's hermetic connectors are used in the harshest environments. They protect against moisture, dirt, dust and pressure differences and are used, for example, in aerospace, medical technology, marine, mining, energy, environmental and laboratory technology. The range includes hermetic connectors with three to 52 contacts as device connectors or as wall feed-throughs. The connectors are available as weld-in versions or in various screw versions. They can also be used in high-voltage applications. The connector housing is made of stainless steel, optionally gold-plated. The plugs have gold-plated contacts and a sintered glass insulator between the pin and housing, which ensures high mechanical strength and tightness. According to the manufacturer, this results in a permanently permissible pressure difference of 50 bar, a helium leakage rate of <10-9 mbar l/s and an operating temperature of -50 to +125 °C.
