The EyeVision software from EVT now also supports the 3D camera 'RealSense' (R200) from Intel. The 3D special command set makes it possible to record and process point clouds with the Intel sensor; it is also possible to work with a grayscale image. This enables the software to provide 3D evaluations. For example, the software can be used to capture an image via the Intel 3D sensor (or via any of the 'EyeScan' 3D sensors). To perform a height measurement on a point cloud image, for example, the user only needs five commands. These commands are displayed as icons in the graphical user interface and are integrated into the inspection program using the drag & drop function. Programming knowledge is not required. The RealSense 3D sensor offers a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels and 60 fps. USB 3.0 is required as the interface. Other supported 3D sensors include sensors from Automation Technology, VRmagic, Vision Components and MEL.
