The user can therefore read and set all important data directly with mobile devices such as tablets or smart phones. This allows production processes to be optimized or made more efficient directly on site. Faults can also be diagnosed, analyzed and ultimately rectified more quickly. According to supplier J. Schmalz, the modular switch is an Industry 4.0-capable component and makes a significant contribution to predictive maintenance and the visualization of important process data on a wirelessly connected consumer device.
