... the tiny robot can cover a distance four times its body length. Some of the robots have four legs, while others have six. First author DeaGyu Kim (pictured center) made hundreds of the tiny structures to determine the ideal configuration. The Georgia Tech research team consists of assistant professor Azadeh Ansari (right) and the two doctoral students DeaGyu Kim and Zhijian Hao (left). Together with Prof. Jun Ueda (not pictured), they are working on giving the micro-robot steering capabilities by creating two slightly different robot combinations.
