The Danfoss VLT frequency inverters 'HVAC Drive', 'Aqua Drive' and 'AutomatinDrive' for speed control of industrial drives are now easier to set up, monitor and control thanks to the introduction of the wireless HMI module VLT Wireless Communication Panel LCP 103. In conjunction with the 'MyDrive Connect App', the module enables the same functionality as the fully graphical Local Control Panel (LCP 102) to be displayed on any tablet or smartphone - without the need for a wired connection. On compatible devices, the app offers functions such as the display of status messages, a quick menu for easy commissioning, parameterization, alarm logs and a reset function. The app can display trend graphs to document the drive's performance over time. It is intuitive to use and includes extensive help functionality, a simulation mode and special graphics to clearly display all information such as motor statuses. The IP66-rated device has an integrated backup memory for data protection. The wireless HMI module uses standard WLAN technology and security features (WPA2 according to AES, Advanced Encryption Standard) and communicates via a point-to-point connection.
