Minecraft is one of the most popular computer games in the world. The open 3D game world, in which anyone can build landscapes with cube-shaped blocks, has fascinated over 100 million players to date. With the 'Maker Kit Minecraft', the analog world can be linked to the digital world and controlled with Minecraft electronics. In addition to the well-known versions for PC, iOS and other systems, Minecraft is also available for the Raspberry Pi mini-computer. This version offers a major advantage: plug-ins can be created in the Python programming language pre-installed on the Raspberry Pi via an open programming interface and the Minecraft world can be modified using external hardware. For example, LEDs can be controlled with the help of the game character Steve. Blocks in the game world can be made to light up using sensor contacts made of plasticine. The Maker Kit contains 14 programming projects for Minecraft on the Raspberry Pi, many of them with hardware control. All the necessary components are included in the package. The 144-page manual has many illustrations and detailed step-by-step instructions.
