In the new firmware version V4.8, the Sinamics S120 high-performance low-voltage inverters can be combined with Simotics synchronous reluctance motors. According to the manufacturer, this combination is particularly suitable for drive solutions in which the dynamics of asynchronous motors are no longer sufficient, but the high performance of permanently excited synchronous motors is also not required.
