Kontron has introduced a new Thin Mini-ITX motherboard mITX-APL with Intel Atom(TM) E39xx and Celeron N3350 CPUs based on the new Apollo Lake processor generation from Intel. The board, which has been specially developed for use in industrial environments, offers improved graphics and computing performance with low power consumption of 6 to 12 W. Thanks to its high interface density and compact dimensions, it is predestined for IoT use in the manufacturing industry and other demanding environments, according to the manufacturer. The board has LVDS 24-bit dual channel and two Displayport 1.2 interfaces. It offers a SO-DIMM DDR3L-1867 socket for up to 8 GB RAM, a full-size mPCIe slot, CAN bus and eMMC support. The embedded board is equipped with a TPM 2.0 chip to protect applications and licenses. The mITX-APL is part of Kontron's Security Solution Line. Applications can be protected against unwanted access and licenses can be created, managed and tracked. At the same time, privileges can be assigned and access levels defined.
