The all-purpose enclosures in the Arca IEC series from Fibox can be additionally reinforced for outdoor use: The fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate material provides high chemical and UV resistance as standard. High mechanical loads are no problem thanks to the door and housing shape with reinforcing ribs and double-walled corner design. The hinges are also highly resilient, even in the basic version. As a precautionary measure, however, the manufacturer recommends a door stop for cabinets with built-in components that need to be accessed in wind and weather. The door holders are suitable for horizontally and vertically opening doors with any stop. According to the supplier, they allow easy access to the installed technology with an opening angle of more than 90°. The plastic enclosures weigh around 50 % less than sheet steel enclosures of the same size and are corrosion-resistant.
