With the Achrid-8142 series, Welotec offers support for up to eight serial interfaces: A choice of eight RS232 ports or four RS232/RS422/RS485 interfaces plus four RS232 ports. The series also has two Gigabit LAN connections, four USB ports and HDMI or VGA for dual-display operation. The devices can be used at temperatures from -20 to +60 °C and can be supplied directly with DC voltage from 9 to 36 V, with a typical power consumption of 9.4 W (maximum 15 W). With 5 Grms vibration resistance in accordance with IEC 60068-2-64 and up to 50 g shock resistance in accordance with IEC 60068-2-27, the systems are also suitable for mechanically demanding applications. They are equipped with an Intel Celeron J1900 processor. Its four Baytrail I cores are operated with a 2.0 GHz clock rate and achieve a turbo clock rate of up to 2.42 GHz in single-thread applications. The Archid systems are therefore intended to provide a basis for a soft PLC, for example on the Codesys platform. Up to 8 Gbyte DDR3L RAM, a 2.5 inch SATA SSD and an internal USB slot complete the system.
