UWT has expanded the level switch family with the Mononivo MN 4000 vibrating rod, which is a single-rod probe in a compact design. The rod detector has small connection threads from 1 inch and is particularly suitable as a full, demand or empty detector in silos and tanks with limited space and as a backwater detector in pipes and shafts. According to the supplier, the surface quality of the probe arm makes it suitable for a wide range of applications in bulk solids, even with materials that tend to stick. Thanks to the four-stage adjustable sensitivity, very light, powdery materials from 20 g/l are reliably detected. At the same time, the robust design enables measurement in coarse-grained granulates. The device can be used for the detection of plastics, foodstuffs, building materials or chemical materials for process temperatures of up to +150 °C, regardless of the industry.
