Is there life in space beyond Earth? - People have been pondering this question since the early days of astronomy. In order to be able to answer whether planets outside our solar system are at least theoretically habitable, we need to know a lot about them. Tuan Tung Nguyen, national winner in the field of Earth and Space Sciences, investigated two planets known as 'Kepler-10c' and 'Kepler-452b'. Using software he wrote himself, which analyzes available data on the celestial bodies such as mass, radius, pressure and temperature, the young researcher was able to show that 'Kepler-452b' is very similar to Earth and could therefore theoretically be habitable. 'Kepler-10c', on the other hand, is completely different, possibly consisting largely of forsterite, a magnesium silicate. However, the question of extraterrestrial life remained unanswered in both cases.
