B&R has extended the current control loop of the Acopos P3 servo amplifier. Users can now use a sine filter without affecting the quality of the drive control. The use of sine filters turns the rectangular voltage pulses into a largely sinusoidal voltage. This improves the energy balance, protects the motor and reduces interference emissions in the cables. In addition, the current curve is smoothed, which reduces motor noise and motor losses. All in all, the efficiency of the entire servo drive is increased. The "Acopos P3" takes the characteristics of the sinusoidal filter into account. This allows the bandwidth in the current control loop to be kept stable.
