ISG is launching the latest version of the ISG-kernel control kernel on the market. The universally applicable control kernel includes general motion functions as well as technology-specific extensions for HSC milling, wire erosion and water jet cutting, for example. As a software solution, the control kernel controls machines and systems in the areas of CNC, robotics and motion control (PLCopen). In addition to comprehensive functionalities, the software offers path and speed planning as well as the underlying architecture model. Users can continuously expand the solution and adapt it to their requirements - for example for applications in Industry 4.0. The functional integration of CNC, robotics and motion control also makes the control kernel suitable for processing machines and robots, for moving complex kinematics and for PLC-oriented programming of motion functions using function blocks based on PLCopen. Different robot systems can be connected via real-time interfaces so that system programmers can control various kinematics synchronously from one control system using the available multi-channel technology.
