The Industrial Handheld Reader BVS HS-P from Balluff is an intuitive handheld reader that reads small high-resolution barcodes as well as codes in a large area with a reading range of up to 110 cm. Optionally, directly marked codes (DPM) can also be read. The robustly constructed device complies with protection class IP65 and can withstand drops from a height of up to 2 m without damage. The wireless version gives the operator freedom of movement in an area of up to 100 m around the base station thanks to the Bluetooth connection. The ergonomically designed device decodes all common 1D, 2D and stacked barcodes on objects moving at a maximum speed of 0.8 m/s. According to the manufacturer, reading reliability is guaranteed even when tilted by up to 40° and at rotation angles of up to 180°. The optical aiming system with a clearly visible laser marking frame simplifies handling and target detection. Acoustic and optical LED signals, including the projection of an LED spot on the captured code, ensure reliable read confirmation in noisy or bright environments. The handheld reader can be integrated via USB, Bluetooth or an RS232 interface.
