With 'HAT 1000' and 'HAT 3000', Hydac has launched a family of absolute angle encoders. The sensors measure the angle of rotation using a non-contact magnetic measuring method. The 'HAT 1000' is a singleturn encoder with a maximum resolution of 14 bits. For applications with higher requirements, the 'HAT 3000' is available with an 18-bit resolution. The measurement data is transmitted via a CANopen safety interface. The encoders fulfill the safety requirements according to SIL2 (IEC 61508) or PL d (ISO 13849).
