By using an SSD for data storage, Spectra has deliberately dispensed with rotating parts in the PowerBox 100 fanless mini PC. The system uses the Intel Atom E3826 dual-core processor from the Bay Trail family with a clock speed of 1.46 GHz. According to the manufacturer, the housing with dimensions of 150 mm × 52.27 mm × 105 mm offers space for numerous interfaces such as 4 × USB, 4 × COM and 2 × LAN. Two mini PCIe sockets accommodate WiFi, GSM, GLAN, dual GLAN, USB or fieldbus modules. Furthermore, an additional slot offers the option of adding interfaces to the PC. These connections are routed to the outside via the universal I/O bracket. In addition to Windows 7/8/8.1, Linux (from kernel 3.13) or Yocto can be installed. In addition to the standard computer, which can be operated at temperatures from 0 °C to +45 °C, there is also a version with an extended operating temperature range between -25 and +60 °C. The power supply can be realized with a direct voltage between 9 and 48 V(DC). With the help of optional accessories, the computer can be mounted on the DIN rail, on the wall or on a VESA bracket.
