Peak-System Technik offers the PCAN-Router FD, which has two CAN channels that support the new CAN FD standard in addition to the conventional CAN 2.0 specification. The module behavior as well as the data exchange between the two channels is freely programmable. This makes it possible to convert from CAN to CAN FD and vice versa. Custom firmware is created using the supplied programming library and the GNU compiler for C and C++ and then transferred to the module via CAN.
