The Apas assistant industrial robot system from Robert Bosch works "hand in hand" with people - without additional shielding and completely contact-free. As soon as the skilled worker comes close to it, the assistant flexibly adjusts its working speed. Equipped with a highly sensitive sensor skin, the industrial robot arm of the assistance system recognizes without any contact if a person comes too close to it and immediately interrupts its work. With the optional 'Apas speedswitch' function, it flexibly adjusts its working speed to the person: as long as no one is nearby, the assistant works at maximum speed. If a person enters its work area, it switches to a safe speed. The gripper arm of the mobile production assistant can also be used as an individual 'Apas safekin' component, for example in the 'Apas workstation'. With this, the company offers a manual workstation with integrated collaborative robot kinematics, in which man and machine flexibly complement and support each other.
