Hexagon Metrology is expanding its RC line of retrofit controllers. According to the manufacturer, these reduce the risk of machine downtime to a minimum by extending the useful life of most commercially available coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) of any age. The RC line maintains the performance of devices with outdated or non-upgradeable controllers and also allows them to be upgraded with the latest CMM sensors and the latest CMM software. The RC241 and RC4K retrofit controllers complement the already successful RC1 range. Thanks to RTune technology, each of the controllers automatically connects to any CMM. In addition, with a wide range of output voltages, the RC line controllers meet customers' individual performance requirements and ensure full compatibility with the software programs and sensors installed on new Hexagon CMMs with DC controllers.
