Sensopart is expanding its "Visor" vision sensor series with a variant specifically for robotics. The Visor Robotic provides all information already converted into robot coordinates so that the results can be used directly on the robot. A one-off calibration using a calibration plate available as an accessory or by means of a point pair list is all that is required. Functions such as Z-offset correction, adaptation of the gripping point and a gripper clearance check make the task even easier. Adjustments to the robot controller are not necessary. In addition, a "URCap" software package is available for the vision sensor, which enables direct data exchange with the robot systems from the manufacturer Universal Robots (UR). In addition to the live image display and job management familiar from other "Visor" products, the "Visor Robotic" software provides users with prepared program routines for calibration and pick-and-place tasks. Frequent robotic applications such as picking up and positioning parts or robot-guided component inspections can be set up "by hand" without programming. In terms of design, connectivity and operation, the robotics version is identical to the other devices in the series.
