Congatec's Intel Atom C3000 processor-based Conga-B7AC Server-on-Modules now support up to 96 GB SO-DIMM DDR4 memory on 3 sockets. This is double the capacity that the company previously supported. This leap in performance was made possible because the Intel Atom C3000 family now supports the newly available 32 GB SO-DIMMs. The new server-on-modules with a high memory bandwidth of 2400 MT/s are available immediately and can be ordered with or without ECC support. Database applications in the field of embedded edge computing can be found in IoT gateways or OPC UA servers for automation, for example. Servers that need to host many virtual machines should also benefit from the doubled memory capacity: With 96 GB of RAM, each partition now has 8 gigabytes of RAM available for 12 virtual machines - an ideal value for standard Linux or Windows installations, according to the manufacturer.
