SG Extended from Datalogic is a fully integrated safety light curtain with the 'SafeEasy' concept. The series includes type 2 and type 4 safety light curtains, resolutions of 14 mm or 30 mm for finger or hand protection, protective field heights of 300 mm to 1800 mm and operating ranges of up to 20 m. All models have compact dimensions and no dead zone, i.e. the protective field height corresponds to the height of the light curtain. The 'SG2-M' type 2 light curtains with integrated muting function save space in the packaging industry and in material handling; the 'SG4-E' type 4 models combine integrated and programmable functions such as cascading, muting and blanking in one device. These functions can be programmed in two different ways: in 'Basic Configuration Mode' (BCM) via pushbuttons, or in 'Advanced Configuration Mode' (ACM) via a graphical PC-based user interface (GUI), which is connected via an Ethernet port. The 'SG4 Dongle' accessory and an Ethernet TCP/IP adapter allow remote programming and cloning of monitor and configuration for quick upload of the same settings to different light curtains. Each model can be configured as a master or slave in cascading mode.
