With regard to gross profit and the question of whether an increase in turnover also means an increase in profit: the average gross profit in 2015 was EUR 71,895. Compared to the average profit of 69,328 euros in 2014, the increase of 3.6% is only minimal. The increase in profit therefore lags behind the increase in turnover by more than seven percentage points. The project portal Gulp assumes that the costs of self-employment - such as pension provision, health and long-term care insurance, tax consultants and acquisition costs - must have risen significantly.
