The book Step7-Workbook for S7-1200/1500 and TIA-Portal by MHJ-Software is aimed at users who want to familiarize themselves with programming the S7-1200/1500 or who want to deepen or train their existing knowledge and skills. Part of the book is the PLC-Lab software. It provides many virtual 2D system models including task descriptions. The reader creates a programming solution for a virtual system with the TIA Portal (from V13, Basic or Professional) and simulates it with PLCSim from Siemens. PLC-Lab is linked to PLCSim and represents the virtual system. By exchanging the inputs and outputs, the virtual system is 'brought to life' and the reader can virtually carry out a virtual commissioning. The AWL, FUP, KOP and SCL display types are used for programming. There is also an introduction to 'Grafcet'.
