The industrial power supply units in the RFE2500 series from TDK-Lambda deliver up to 2500 W output power in just 1 U height. They are not limited to use in racks or on a backplane: they support both bus bar and screw terminal connections. There is a choice of three nominal output voltages: 12 V, 24 V or 48 V, each of which can be trimmed by up to 20 %. Thanks to an efficiency of 90 to 93 %, the power supply units keep waste heat in the system to a minimum. The power supply units have a wide-range input (85 to 264 V(AC)). Up to eight power supply units can be operated in parallel to meet higher power requirements or to ensure availability via redundancy. For this purpose, the power supply units have internal ORing MOSFETs as standard for decoupling as well as active load sharing via single wire current share. The permissible ambient temperature range is -10 to +70 °C, with derating from +50 °C. The output voltage can be trimmed via the built-in front potentiometer, an external signal voltage (0 to 5 V) or an external 1k potentiometer. Two internal fans provide cooling.
