Portwell subsidiary Mitwell launches the Kube-5500, a box PC based on the Intel Core i5-7442EQ processor (code name Kaby Lake). The design with edge LED display and removable service panel is intended to enable easy monitoring and maintenance. An LVDS connection is available on the rear for integration into a panel PC. Equipped with the Intel HD 630 graphics engine, the system offers a total of three graphics ports, including two space-saving DisplayPort V1.4 and one LVDS interface. Storage options include up to 64 GB DDR4 RAM, M.2 SSD and Mini PCIe as mass storage for operating systems or data and optional SATA-III. Various interfaces such as two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports offer flexibility in terms of connection options. Three serial interfaces 2x COM (RS232) and 1x COM (RS232/422/485) are provided for local data acquisition and the connection of sensor or machine environments. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports powered by the Intel i210 ensure industrial-grade communication. For use in demanding environments, the PC fulfills extended industrial requirements such as EN6100-6-4 (EMI) and EN6100-6-2 (EMS), which include tougher RS, EFT and CS criteria compared to the general industry standard.
