Wittenstein has new products for the Galaxie drive system. These include the compact Galaxie D version in size 085 for use in smaller milling heads and handling axes with special requirements in terms of torsional rigidity and freedom from backlash, the ultra-flat Galaxie DF in sizes 110 and 135, which saves up to 30 % of the overall length, and the Galaxie GH gearbox version with an optional angled drive. The ultra-flat Galaxie DF in sizes 110 and 135, which saves up to 30 % of the overall length, and the Galaxie GH gearbox variant with an optional angle pre-stage. The drive system can be integrated into existing machine concepts via flexible encoder interfaces. Operating data can be transferred to an IoT cloud using a drive system equipped with sensors. In future, data can be accessed anywhere and via any end device over the entire life cycle of the drive - regardless of the respective control system. The key features of the drive system are dynamized individual teeth instead of a rigid toothed ring, tangential and, under load, full-surface hydrodynamic contact during tooth engagement and a new type of bearing with a segmented outer ring.
