The products in Wago's 750 XTR I/O system series can withstand temperatures from -40 to +70 °C, vibrations of up to 5 g and operating altitudes of up to 5000 m above sea level, offer increased voltage and interference immunity in accordance with EN60870-2-1 and are now also available for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. All modules have ATEX/IECEx approval for use in Zone 2/22. In addition to the standard sensor and actuator signals from Zone 2/22, intrinsically safe sensors and actuators from Zone 0/20 and 1/21 can be integrated via the I/O modules in the blue housing. The suffix XTR in the module description stands for 'extreme' environmental conditions. The system can be used in all climatic zones without protection by air conditioning units. The increased dielectric strength and interference immunity allows it to be used in medium-voltage systems, while the vibration and shock resistance meets the requirements for rail vehicles and installation on marine diesel engines. All PCBs are coated with a protective varnish that protects the electronics and conductor tracks from short-term condensation.
