Plagiarius 2016Brazen counterfeiters uncovered
For the 40th time, the 'Aktion Plagiarius' association is pillorying counterfeiters and imitators. At the Ambiente trade fair, it presented awards to the new "prize winners". This year's winners included: ball bearings, kitchen tools and wind vests.
... FAG deep groove ball bearings 'FAG 6012.2ZR.C3' and INA angular contact ball bearings 'INA 30/8-2RS' originally from Schaeffler Technologies in Herzogenaurach. The counterfeits (pictured right) were exported from China by Yakang Bearing Supplies, a German trading company that ordered FAG and INA bearings from Yakang in good faith and sold them on. A border seizure and subsequent temporary injunction revealed the products to be counterfeits. The trading company agreed to the destruction of the counterfeits and apologized to Schaeffler.
