The FS+ flow sensor complements Turck's fluid sensor family. The sensor has a stainless steel housing with a one-piece, translucent front cap and is operated like a smartphone using wear-free touchpads. In addition to the flow, the sensor can permanently measure the media temperature. It does not matter how the sensor is aligned in the pipe.
The two-color 11-segment LED strip can be used to display either flow or temperature values. The sensor housing and display can also be freely rotated by 340° after installation.
For quick commissioning, the flow sensor offers automatic detection of PNP/NPN signals. Users can also set a switching point using Quick-Teach. Thanks to delta flow monitoring, all teach functions are only enabled when the flow is constant, thus eliminating potential sources of error.
The sensor complies with protection classes IP6K6K, IP6K7 and IP6K9K, meaning that it can be used in harsh environments and can monitor cooling circuits or cleaning processes, for example.
