With the SoftHand, German Robotics has an anatomically shaped hand for collaborative robots in its range. With its 19 self-healing finger joints, which can easily withstand dislocation, it replaces numerous individual grippers and is therefore suitable for complex handling tasks.
The research version of the SoftHand offers open interfaces including Matlab, while the industrial version has IP65 protection and easily replaceable gloves. The industrial version reliably holds objects weighing up to 600 g between the thumb and one finger. If the whole hand can be used, the maximum gripping weight increases to 2 kg. The wrist can be rotated.
