Comau introduces Racer-5-0.80 (Racer-5 Cobot) to the market to meet the increasing demand for fast, cost-effective cobots that can be used in confined spaces and in a variety of applications. The cobot is a 6-axis articulated arm robot that can operate at speeds of up to 6 m/s. It offers 5 kg payload and 809 mm reach. The Cobot is able to instantly switch from a cooperative mode to maximum speed when no operator is present, achieving a repeatability of 0.03 mm. Thanks to advanced safety features that have been fully certified by TÜV Süd, the Cobot can be used within a high-performance line without the need for safety barriers.
