Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems (IPMS) have developed a new solution for charging wearables - portable electronic devices - while on the move. An unusually small energy converter embedded in the shoe makes it possible.

... the power supply for a data transmitter - telegrams can be transmitted wirelessly to a tablet every second by moving the slider. However, the energy converter can also be adapted to a wide range of other electronics. The scientists will be available to answer questions at embedded world 2016 from February 23 to 25, 2016.
