Cables, connectors etc. are the backbone of every factory. The "smarter" the latter becomes, the higher the demands on the passive elements for signal and energy transmission. Computer&AUTOMATION has compiled the latest products from the field of electromechanics.
To meet the requirements of industrial applications, Metz Connect will in future be offering a field-wireable D-coded M12 Cat.5 connector. The four-pin M12 connector was developed especially for connections with data transmission rates of up to 100 Mbit and is suitable for Profinet and Ethernet I/P applications. The industrial plug made of die-cast zinc with 360° shielding can be attached directly on site without special tools. Cables from AWG 26/7 to 22/7 and AWG 24/1 to 22/1 can be connected. When plugged in, the plugs are resistant to dirt and moisture (IP67).
In addition to the 2-pair twisted pair connection in D-coding, there are also 4-pair twisted pair connections in X-coding for data transmission rates of up to 10 Gbit.
