SPS 2024
Visitor Growth at SPS 2024
The interest in innovative automation solutions remains unbroken, as SPS 2024 demonstrated once again. Despite the concurrent event, the industry get-together recorded an increase in visitor numbers.
Over three days in Nuremberg, the industry set the course for the 2025 business year: approximately 51,300 trade visitors (2023: 50,081 visitors) explored solutions and products designed to enhance production efficiency across a total area of 125,000 m² in 16 exhibition halls, presented by 1,114 exhibitors. »In light of the current challenging economic situation in the industry, the increase in visitor numbers compared to the previous year sends a strong and important signal for the automation industry,« summarizes Martin Roschkowski, President Mesago Messe Frankfurt.
Steffen Winkler, CSO of the Automation Business Unit at Bosch Rexroth and Chairman of the SPS Exhibitor Advisory Board, is also satisfied: "SPS is the summit meeting of the automation professionals. Here, visitors experience the latest technologies and the experts behind them live, enabling them to make and develop valuable industry contacts. Even in economically challenging times, the SPS remains a powerful hub for innovation and discussion. Together, we are shaping the future here.«
Stefan Hoppe, President and Executive Director, OPC Foundation, also appreciates the in-depth exchange: »The SPS trade fair attracts experts who truly listen to one another. It primarily brings together technical professionals and developers. At no other trade fair do I see so many technical decision-makers from other companies – this makes SPS truly unique.«
Comprehensive Information Offering
The trade show was characterized by intensive professional discussions about new products, current market launches, and outlooks on automation and industrial digitalization.
These three days were complemented by a focused and high-quality lecture program, featuring topics such as AI in automation and digital transformation.
»For us, the top trend at SPS is clearly artificial intelligence. We are convinced that this technology will bring enormous productivity benefits in the years – or perhaps decades – to come,« explains Dr. Axel Zein, Managing Director of WSCAD.
The four trade fair forums offered the opportunity to delve deep into the subject matter and engage in a direct exchange with the experts. And even after the event, selected technical papers and panel discussions will be available on demand on the digital platform "SPS on air".
