Scalable servo controllers

According to the manufacturer Baumüller, the 'b maXX 6000' servo controllers offer more performance and scalability. More performance is ensured, for example, by safety functions that have been specially developed for applications with high dynamic and precision requirements.

The safety module is integrated directly into the device. Safety-relevant encoder signals can therefore be evaluated with a higher resolution. Numerous hardware and software options ensure scalability in order to adapt the drives to the respective application requirements. Encoders, hardware and safety options are available. The hardware options include signal bus, service option, digital and analog I/Os and brake connection. In terms of safety, different variants are available, from simple hardware-controlled STO (Safe-Torque-Off) to higher safety functions controlled via FSoE (FailSafe over EtherCAT). The servo drive from Baumüller can be used as a sensor or sensor hub and offers scalable IoT connectivity, for example via an edge PC in the cloud.
