The lightweight and low-noise miniature drives are suitable for applications in medical technology, robots and active prostheses or exo-skeletons, for example. According to the manufacturer, the mini motor technology offers high torque and high speed or rotational speed with a particularly small size. The lack of cogging torque, low torque ripple, the linear correlation between speed and torque and the low mass inertia result in higher performance and dynamics. The dynamics are also improved by the smaller weights and dimensions. The mini motors can be equipped with Hall sensors and offer the option of mounting optical or magnetic encoders for high-precision speed control. They are also available with integrated electronics and fieldbus connection. If required, they can also be fitted with attachable high-precision gearboxes.
