With Light+Building in Frankfurt and the Hannover Messe, two important events for the automation industry are casting their shadows ahead. ABB has now announced its first innovations for both trade fairs.

According to Adrian Guggisberg, Head of Product Portfolio Management for the Drives and Controls business, ABB is thus "the first company to offer a completely integrated product family that covers the low and medium voltage range with outputs from a few kilowatts to several megawatts." This means that all ACS580 drives - whether wall-mounted devices, modules or for cabinet installation - are based on a uniform drive architecture that uses the same control panel and the same user interfaces and tools.
