Dr. Gunther Kegel, Chairman of the Board of the ZVEI Automation Association, is optimistic about sales growth in 2016. He is particularly encouraged by the good figures for the automation industry last year.

... the global market, for which reliable figures are only available with delays of up to two years due to the complex data collection process: According to ZVEI calculations, the global automation market grew from EUR 432 billion (2013) to EUR 435 billion (2014), stabilizing at a high level. At 10.6%, the USA lost one percentage point in production in 2014 compared to the previous year. The share of applications fell to 11.5%. China's share of global production climbed again - by almost three points to 42.7% in 2014. The market in China has grown to a 39.7% share of the global market.

The German share of production also increased - from 8.6% to 8.8%. Germany therefore remains in third place among both the world's largest users and producers of automation.
