Congatec - Congatec tackles the safety market
The conga-MA7 COM Express mini modules, which integrate the Functional Safety qualified Intel CPU x6427FE with Safety Island support, are Congatec's first safety building blocks to be provided to customers as ready-to-certify super components - including all relevant software components such as bootloader, hypervisor and BSP. Thanks to its safe-island controller, Intel Atom x6000-E multicore processor technology enables the creation of mixed-critical systems that host safe applications in real-time-capable virtual machines; they can even host sophisticated sensor technology for situation recognition. In addition, the processor technology is qualified to support applications that must be certified to IEC 61508 safety integrity level SIL2.
