KEB Automation - Safe communication via Profisafe
The Drive Controller Combivert F6 and Servo Drives S6 from KEB Automation offer integrated safety functions directly in the drive. In the 'Application' device variant, Ethernet-based bus systems can be switched via software, thus enabling a flexible fieldbus connection to the higher-level control level, for example via Profinet. Communication via the safe Profisafe fieldbus protocol has now been integrated and certified in the devices. Drives with integrated safety are integrated into the Siemens TiA-Portal Profinet network using GSD files. Based on this, safe fieldbus communication between different F-Devices (safety devices) is realized. With the KEB Drive Controllers Combivert F6 and S6 application (with safety module type 3), the corresponding encoder-related safety functions can be selected and used via the configuration. The device series cover a power range from 0.75 to 450 kW and can be used for the operation of different motor technologies.
