Last year, electromobility made considerable gains worldwide. Germany continues to play a subordinate role - but is able to establish its own e-cars on the market for the first time.

... the Chairman of the ZVEI Management Board, Dr. Klaus Mittelbach: "It is better to finally create the conditions for the breakthrough of electromobility in Germany than to serve short-term windfall profits. This includes a nationwide charging infrastructure." The ZVEI estimates the need for 10,000 normal charging stations and 1,000 fast charging stations. There are currently only around 4,300 public charging stations in Germany.
