Current productsNews from drive technology
Without drive technology - in the truest sense of the word - nothing would turn in most machines and systems. Computer&AUTOMATION presents the latest innovations in this automation discipline in a series of pictures.

The Epos4 Compact positioning controllers from Maxon, previously used primarily in the CANopen world, can now also be integrated into Ethercat networks. The Ethercat versions comply with the CoE standard (CAN application layer over Ethercat). The intelligent motion controllers with real-time communication offer a ready-to-connect solution for controlling brushed DC motors and brushless EC motors (BLDC) with peak currents of up to 30 A. Thanks to their modular design, they are particularly suitable for applications with single and multi-axis systems in small devices and machines as well as in robotics. In addition to the intuitive 'Epos Studio' software, Windows DLL and Linux Shared Objects Libraries are freely available for integration into various master systems. The flexible controllers with Ethercat are available in two power versions: 50 V/8 A and 50 V/15 A. Further variants of the series (Epos4 Compact 24/1.5 Ethercat and Epos4 Compact 50/5 Ethercat) will follow.
