Stainless steel motors with integrable planetary gearbox, Groschopp
© Groschopp

Groschopp has developed stainless steel motors with an integrable planetary gearbox that meet the current state of the art in terms of hygienic safety. As the gearbox was integrated into the stainless steel housing, it was possible to use an inexpensive standard planetary gearbox instead of an expensive stainless steel gearbox. The flexible design of the drive means that attachments such as controllers or motor brakes can be implemented quickly. The drives are based on the "ESK Silver-Line" series or the newer "ESKH" stainless steel motors, which were designed in accordance with the EHEDG guidelines. The stainless steel motors comply with protection class IP69K, are highly resistant to chemicals and easy to clean. Regardless of the installation position, there are no flat surfaces, all internal and external radii are greater than 3 mm and there are no weld seams or unevenness caused by screws. The surface roughness is less than Ra 0.8 µm. Thanks to the hygienic design without corners and edges, no dirt pockets form and bacteria can be easily removed.
