Germany's skilled workers are picky. According to the Stepstone study, the image of the company is also important when looking for a job today. If applicants cannot identify with the company, eight out of ten skilled workers would turn down a suitable position.

For 84 percent of respondents, a dishonest description of the job is a reason to reject a job offer. 76 percent are put off by a low salary. For 75 percent, a job is out of the question if there is no good personal relationship with the interviewer. Only 26 percent would turn down a job if the interviewer takes too long to arrive at the interview.
