VDMAJob expansion planned in mechanical engineering
The core workforce is to be increased, additional jobs created and the range of apprenticeships and dual study programs expanded. This is what the majority of German machine and plant manufacturers want. However, there is a problem.

With the exception of auxiliary staff, the majority of respondents currently see bottlenecks in all employee groups. Among experts, 81% of respondents currently see slight to severe bottlenecks; among skilled workers, the figure is as high as 90%. The situation has recently worsened for skilled workers in particular.
