Broken down by occupational group, they are best paid in automotive engineering, closely followed by development and production engineering. Young engineers in construction are paid the least. This can be seen across all occupational groups: Engineers with a Master's degree consistently earn more than their colleagues with a Bachelor's degree.

In general, this applies to all fields of study examined by Stepstone: Master's graduates receive a 9% higher salary than Bachelor's graduates.
