The measuring process is housed in a compact miniature housing. This means that the sensor can be integrated into systems where space is limited. Its light spot is small and precise, while laser class 1 allows operation without protective measures. A window mode, which can be activated by pressing a button, also enables area monitoring: non-relevant distance areas can be masked out, for example the foreground and background of a conveyor belt. The switching frequency at which the sensor should work can be set.

In addition to a digital switching output, the sensor from Sensopart has an IO-Link interface with specification 1.1.3. and the smart sensor profile. Typical areas of application include checking the presence of boxes and trays when they are removed from a high-bay warehouse, checking the position of components in assembly processes or for material flow control.
