Rockwell Automation
Takeover of Cubic planned
Rockwell Automation announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire Cubic.
Rockwell Automation aims to have acquired Cubic by the end of the year. The company was founded in 1973 and specializes in modular systems for the construction of electrical control panels. In the 2022 financial year, which ended at the end of September, Cubic is expected to have generated sales of more than 75 million US dollars.
The acquisition will enable customers to benefit from Cubic's modular systems in combination with Rockwell's intelligent devices and industry expertise. This will reduce time-to-market, enable broader plant-wide applications for intelligent motor controls and generate intelligent data to increase sustainability and productivity.
Rockwell will also be able to build an expanded partner network in Europe, Asia and Latin America through Cubic's partner model. Upon completion of the transaction, Cubic will report to Rockwell's Power Control business unit within the Intelligent Devices business segment.
